At First Baptist Church South Lake Tahoe, we believe the Bible is God's revealed Word and the foundation of our faith. Our beliefs are centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ and the hope found through Him.

We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, His plan for humanity, and the truth needed for faith and life.

We believe there is one living and true God, eternal and perfect in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.

God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He sovereignly guides creation and lovingly invites people into a relationship with Him.

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. Through His miraculous birth, sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross, and physical resurrection, Jesus accomplished salvation for all who believe in Him. Jesus is our Savior, Lord, and coming King.

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and actively works in the world today.

The Holy Spirit: convicts us of sin, guides believers into truth, gives spiritual gifts, strengthens and transforms believers to become more like Christ

We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace received through faith in Jesus Christ. People are saved not by good works or personal effort, but through repentance and faith in Christ's death and resurrection.

We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of believers called to worship God, grow together, serve others, and share the hope of the gospel.The church exists to glorify God and make disciples of Jesus Christ.

We believe Jesus Christ will return and fulfill God's promises. We look forward to the day when He will establish His eternal kingdom and restore all things.
